| Sector 9 Waimea Longboard Complete – The Bamboo Waimea is a fast, smooth riding board, a little shorter than the Pipeline and with a stylish swallow tail and a classic shape that is reminiscent of a classic fish surfboard. Made from 100% bamboo, not just a top or bottom veneer (which is how some companies stake their claim), the Waimea features a ‘W’ concave and mild camber to add to its strength while still allowing a nice amount of flex. The deck is coupled with the Gullwing Charger trucks which can turn sharp. The deck has cutouts where the wheels should hit to avoid wheel bite and let you turn as sharp as you would like. The Charger trucks also enable this board to be pumped, where you use your turning momentum to keep the speed up. When you get the Waimea, the Gullwing trucks are pretty tight so if you like to carve you may have to loosen them. Same as the Padang from previous years, the new Bamboo Series longboards reflect Sector 9’s dedication to producing innovative new products that take skateboarding to new levels.
